Expanding access to services for people who are otherwise shut out is a priority for me, so please reach out if you think you may qualify for one of my sliding scale spots.
If my sliding scale spots are filled, we can discuss ways for you to reduce the cost of your preparation (by having you do more of the work of organizing, classifying, and totaling, etc).

A large part of my approach is education. Instead of handing over a stack of paper and a total balance due/refund, I prefer to spend additional time reviewing your prepared taxes with you and translating the numbers on the pages. I want clients to feel like they know where everything comes from and why they are getting their results (and what they can change if they don’t like those results). This does make me less efficient than other tax preparers, so if you don’t care about understanding your taxes and just want them done as cheaply as possible, there are better options for you.
Taxes
Prices are based on forms completed and a price list of the most common forms can be found here. The amounts here are what you can expect to pay unless we have discussed otherwise prior to preparation.
If your tax complexity requires work above and beyond what is reasonably expected, additional time would be charged.
